The owners of the timeshare experienced sales tactics during long drawn out sales presentations that resulted in them buying into timeshares under false pretenses. I informed them that I did not want to give up the timeshare, as the value of the timeshare was more than that of the entire cleaning fee. I dont want to spend 3/4 of my day in your stupid meeting where I have to continually say no, I dont want to upgrade.. Yes we have been. I was gifted my Walmart ownership by my parents since then the fees have gone up repeatedly I can never get into the places I want to stay there always rent it out they say theyre full but if I go on any rental site I can find them I sent a notice to Worldmark to end my membership after years of paying fees and very little stays and six months later I was notified I didnt send it to the right place though the right place is not easy to find and they wont cancel it because they say I owe to even though the letter stated that effective date I was intending to end my membership there. Can we join the lawsuit. I refused to offer more money for travel that Im likely not going to be able to go. How can we get in on the lawsuit because what they are doing is total misrepresentation/fraudulent. I havent found a way out yet and Im in debt for $100k. Won my trust scammed me by saying he could do all these amazing things to help if I upgraded I said I was retiring soon and $500 a month would be a stretch.. scammed me I now somehow bought all these points (why would I do that when I never used the ones I had?) We have the same issues as ALL of the above complaints promises to assist in using points to rerent units to earn money to assist in paying maintenance fees, promises to buy back membership, promises, promises, promises ADD US TO SUIT. There are probably some places that have space available when you want it, but primarily, if you want to go someplace at a certain time, forget using your points. In fact, the timeshare presentation lasted eight hours and the Overtons were promised a fixed week in December, in a fixed unit of their preference. of course, I agreed with their assessment of the situation after questioning why I couldnt simply transfer to a Bronze Access plan.
